Zula Den is part of the non-profit Zula Project which is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt charitable organization.

Mission Statement
The Zula Project is a nonprofit organization that serves the community in the advancement of knowledge and education of mental and physical well being for the promotion of improved personal health as well as other purposes beneficial to the community.

Its venue Zula Den in Los Angeles offers a safe haven for dozens of different wellness modalities such as sound healing, energy healing, guided meditations, breathwork, yoga, body work, live music journeys, cleansing ceremonies and more. In addition there is a strong emphasis on supporting the arts in our local community. Offering a space for musicians, poets, and comedians to express themselves and their art on stage in a cozy zen environment that promotes mental health through the ancient simple practice of togetherness.

Its mission is to make these sort of healing and educational experiences accessible to all by sourcing funding which goes towards offering free, donation based and sliding scale events. Making the Zula Project an initiative that is truly for the people, by the people.
Reach & Impact
In 2025, we held 276 events at our community wellness and arts center, Zula Den. Of these, 29 were completely free. We served a total of 3,555 people during these events.

For 2026 we are expecting this reach to continue growing by hosting more events, workshops, classes and shows while also increasing the average number of attendees per event. Help us reach our goal of hosting over 300 events and serving over 5,000 people this year!

Our reach through these community events is growing, as is the number of events we can keep completely free thanks to donations and grants. Your support is much appreciated and will go a long way in making these services even more available and accessible to the Los Angeles community. Thank you in advance.

Accessibility
At the Zula Den the accessibility of our offerings is of the utmost importance to us. Our goal is to keep as many events as possible free while still compensating facilitators and musicians with a fair living wage. Something that is made possible by the funding we receive. We also offer a 50% low-income rebate for anyone with a valid EBT Golden State Advantage Card. We believe that for a healthy, thriving community, it is crucial to ensure that anyone in that community, regardless of income level, can afford to attend and participate.

Volunteers
We believe that wellness & healing music should be accessible to everyone and that our community is strongest when we work together for the common cause. To make this possible we rely on help from local volunteers in our community. This is why we created the volunteer program. It is designed for those who want to dive deeper into our sacred space by helping it all happen and in return receive credits that can be used towards attending or hosting free events creating a cycle of giving that benefits all involved. Love the cause but not in the position to donate funds, show your support by donating your precious time. Details Here.
